Year 2000 Compliance Information

Statistix 9 is Year 2000 Compliant. Neither the performance nor functionality is affected by dates prior to, during, and after the year 2000.

Dates are not critical to the operation of Statistix. You can, however, create variables to store dates. Date variables can be used in statistical procedures like numeric variables. You can also use date variables for arithmetic operations, such as determining the number of days between two dates. The range of dates permitted is from Jan. 1, 1900 through Dec. 31, 2099.

You can enter dates using two or four digits for the year. A user-selected value called the century cutoff determines which century the date belongs to when entering dates with only two digits for the year. When a two-digit year is entered into Statistix, 1900 is added if the value entered is greater than or equal to the century cutoff value. 2000 is added if the value entered is less than the century cutoff value. The default century cutoff value is 20. So two-digit years from 0 through 19 represent the years 2000 through 2019, and two-digit years from 20 through 99 represent the years 1920 through 1999.

You also have the option of having dates displayed with two or four digits for the year.
